قال مسؤول في شركة تصدير الأسلحة الروسية «روس أوبورون أكسبورت» إن شركته تعرض على مصر استيراد مروحيات عسكرية حديثة وصواريخ مضادة للطائرات.
أضاف رئيس وفد شركة تصدير الأسلحة الروسية إلى معرض دبي للطيران، ميخائيل زافالي، في تصريح لوكالة أنباء «نوفوستي» الروسية، بثته الجمعة، أن شركته مستعدة لتوريد مروحيات مقاتلة ومنظومات دفاع جوي صاروخية إلى الجيش المصري، وأيضا تصليح وتحديث العتاد الذي حصل عليه الجيش المصري من روسيا في أوقات سابقة.
وأشار المسؤول إلى أن هذا هو العرض الذي تقدمه شركته إلى مصر، مضيفا: «على شريكنا المحترم أن يقول الكلمة الفصل»، موضحا أن مصر كانت أول دولة عربية تقدم على استيراد السلاح من روسيا عام 1955

Russian Company offers Egypt Modern Helicopter Gunships

An official for the Russian arms company ‘Oberonprom’ said his company offered Egypt modern military helicopters and anti-aircraft missiles.
The chairman of the delegation of Russian weapons exports to the Dubai Airshow, Mikhail Zafala, said in a statement aired on Friday to the Russian news agency ‘Novosti’ that his company is ready to supply helicopter gunships and air missile systems to the Egyptian army as well as repair and renovate equipment obtained earlier from Russia.
The Chairman of the delegation of export of Russian weapons to the Dubai Airshow , Mikhail Zafala , in a statement to news agency « Novosti » Russian, aired on Friday, said his company is ready to supply helicopters, fighter and systems, air defense missile to the Egyptian army , and also the repair and renovation Gear obtained by the Egyptian army from Russia in earlier times.
The official pointed out that this is a show of the extend that his company is offering Egypt. He added: “It is on our esteemed partner to say the final word.” Further pointing out that Egypt was the first Arab country to import arms from Russia in 1955.

New massacre of children in Raqqah
Raqqa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The number of martyrs who have died following the military aircraft bombing of a secondary commercial school in the city of Raqqah has increased to twelve. Most of the martyrs are secondary school students, under the age of 18, and the number of martyrs is expected to rise because of the critical condition of some of those injured.
This targeted attack comes after the Syrian regime’s pledge to stop targeting schools and universities.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights condemns in the strongest terms the perpetration of this massacre of Syria’s children and students who are the promising future of Syria. We also renew our demands to refer the portfolio of war crime and crimes against humanities, perpetrated daily in Syria, to the International Criminal Court in order to apprehend the perpetrators and whoever gives them commands, and punish them for what has been perpetrated at their sinful hands against the Syrian people.

كيري يؤكد لنتنياهو ان الولايات المتحدة تتفق مع اسرائيل على ضرورة عدم السماح لايران بالحصول على اسلحة نووية
اتصل وزير الخارجية الامريكي جون كيري هاتفيا اليوم برئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو وأكد له ان الولايات المتحدة تتفق مع اسرائيل على ضرورة عدم السماح لايران بالحصول على اسلحة نووية . وقال كيري في حديث لقناة التلفاز الامريكية “أم أس أم بي سي” , انه يحترم القلق الاسرائيلي العميق ازاء المفاوضات بين الدول الكبرى وايران
وأقر الوزير الامريكي بوجود خلاف بين البلدين, مشيرا الى ان ادارة الرئيس باراك اوباما تطلب من الكونغرس عدم فرض عقوبات جديدة على طهران خلال إجراء المفاوضات، في حين تدعو اسرائيل الى تشديد العقوبات، لحمل ايران على التخلي عن برنامجها النووي . واضاف ان اي صفقة محتملة يجب ان تضمن ألا تكون لدى طهران القدرة على تطوير اسلحة نووية
وأشار كيري الى ان بلاده تقترح الافراج عن جزء صغير جدا من الأصول الايرانية المجمدة في انحاء العالم، والتي تقدر قيمتها الاجمالية بنحو 45 مليار دولار

وكانت الولايات المتحدة قد رفضت قبل ذلك رفضا قاطعا ما قاله شتاينيتس, من ان حجم التسهيلات المقترحة في العقوبات المفروضة على ايران يقدر ب- 40 مليار دولار . ووصفت الناطقة بلسان وزارة الخارجية الامريكية هذا التقييم بانه غير صحيح، ومبالغ فيه، وليس مبنيا على الواقع

Kerry confirms to Netanyahu that the United States agrees with Israel about the need to keep Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons
American Secretary of State John Kerry called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today and confirmed to him that the United States agrees with Israel about the need to not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. In a discussion with American television channel MSNBC Kerry said that he respects the deep Israeli concern towards the negotiations between superpowers and Iran.
The American minister acknowledged the existence of contention between the two countries, indicating that President Barak Obama’s administration has asked congress not to impose new sanctions on Tehran during negotiations, whereas Israel is calling for a strengthening of sanctions in order to get Iran to abandon its nuclear program. Kerry aded that any potential deal must guarantee that Tehran does not have the ability to develop nuclear weapons.
Kerry indicated that his country is proposing the release of a very small portion of frozen Iranian assets around the world, with an estimated total value of about 45 billion USD.
Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz said in a radio interview that the difference between Israeli and American estimates about the impact of the proposed easing of imposed sanctions on Iran is not great. He added that Israeli estimates are specific to the next six months, while American estimates refer to the next year. Steinitz said that the relations between Jerusalem and Washington are very good despite the sharp debate between them.
The US had previously categorically refused Steinitz’s estimate about the size of the proposed easing of sanctions imposed on Iran at 40 billion USD. The US Foreign Ministry spokeswoman describe this estimate as incorrect, an exaggeration, and not based in reality.
For his part, MP Amram Mitzna of the Movement Party said that the United States is the most important friend and strategic partner of Israel, and expressed that discussions must be held away from the media.

صادقت الكنيست بالقراءتين الثانية والثالثة، مساء اليوم الاثنين 04.11.2013، على قانون رفع سن الزواج الى ثمان عشر سنة، مع إعطاء إمكانية استثنائية للمصادقة على حالات زواج فوق جيل السادسة عشر
وفي معرض تهنئتها على سن القانون، قالت النائبة حنين زعبي، ومن المبادرين للقانون: “إن القانون هو من أحد القوانين الجيدة والقليلة التي يصادق عليها في الكنيست. فهو يدافع عن حق الفتاة والفتى في اختيار شريك حياتهم دون فرض على أساس معتقدات ونسق سائد أو بضغط من العائلة، ودون إغلاق لإمكانية التحقيق الذاتي للفرد عن طريق التعليم والعمل، فالقانون يؤكد على حق الفتاة في التعليم والعمل كأساس لبناء أسرة سليمة”
وأضافت زعبي، أن الزواج دون جيل ال18، لا يتم باختيار حر وحقيقي، إذ لا تفتح ولا تُتاح للفتاة مجالات الحياة على وسعها، بل بالعكس تغلق في وجهها إمكانيات الاستقلالية والتقدم في الحياة، وتطرح عليها إمكانية الزواج وكأنها إمكانية “الخلاص” الحقيقية
ونوهت زعبي أن الحديث عن تقاليد في هذا الصدد، أو “حق العائلة” أو “الحقوق الجماعية” هو حديث غير مقبول، لأن الحق في الزواج هو حق فردي وليس جماعي، و”تقاليد” المجتمع عليها ان تستند على حقوق الفرد والإنسان وألا تتعارض معها، وإلا تحولت إلى طغيان الجماعة على الفرد، ناهيك عن أن مفهوم التقاليد هو مفهوم متحرك وليس ثابتا، وأن المجتمع يعيد في كل محطة صناعة تقاليده وفق مفاهيمه المتغيرة لذاته ولروح العصر ولمتطلبات الحياة والتقدم.
وفي هذا السياق شكرت النائبة زعبي جميع مؤسسات حقوق الإنسان والجمعيات النسوية التي عملت من أجل إنجاح هذا القانون وسنه وخروجه للنور

What is the legal marriage age in Israel?
On Monday evening (4 November 2013) the Knesset passed the second and third readings of a law raising the marriage age to 18, and allowing the possibility to validate exceptional cases of marriage above the age of 16.
In a congratulatory exhibition on the enactment of the law, MP Hanin Zoabi, one of the initiators of the law said: “this law is one of the few good laws passed in the Kenesset. It defends the rights of girls boys to choose their life partner without the imposition of beliefs, prevalent patterns or family pressure, and without closing the possibility for self-investigation of the individual through education or work. This law confirms the right of girls to education and employment as a basis for building a healthy family.”
Zoabi added that marriage under the age of 18 was not a free or real choice, as the best parts of life were not open or available to women. In contrast, possibilities of independence and progress in life were closed in girls faces, and the possibility of marriage was raised to them as if it was the possibility for true “salvation.”
Zoabi noted that the conversation about traditions in this regard, or “family’s right” or “collective rights” is unacceptable, because the right to marriage is an individual right and not a collective one. She argues that “traditions” of society must be based upon the individual/person, and should not be inconsistent with them, or turn into tyranny of the group over the individual. Not to mention that the concept of traditions is dynamic, not static, and that society restores at ever station the industry of its traditions according to the changing conceptions of self, the sprite of the time, and the demands of life and progress.
In this context, Zoabi thanked all the human rights foundations and women’s associations which worked to render this law and its enactment successful, and bring it to light.

Four Palestinians arrested and one Israeli soldier killed in Hebron
Israeli forces undertake raids and arrests in the West Bank on an almost daily basis
Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) arrested four Palestinians on Wednesday, including three children, after raiding the southern West Bank city of Hebron, while the a Palestinian stabbed and killed an Israeli soldier and inside a passenger bus in the city of Afula, north of Jenin.
United Press International (UPI) reported a Palestinian security source in saying that the occupation army forces in the centre of the old city arrested Fahad Amin Bakri, 11, and his two brothers Mohammed and Alaa’ Galib Rajbi, 12 and 14 respectively, as well as Mehdi Sufian Abu Heta, 21, and took them to an unknown location.
Today, the Israeli army set up several roadblocks at the entrance to the city in the early hours of the morning, and began to search pedestrians and cars. Army forces also undertake raids and arrests in the West Bank on an almost daily basis.
This comes after a Palestinian man was injured the Israeli army opened fire on him as he approached the security fence adjacent to Khan Younes in the southern Gaza Strip.
A human rights source told UPI that an Israeli force fired towards a Palestinian wearing civilian clothes as he approached a distance of 80m from the security fence and injured him.
The source reported that the injured was left to bleed for some time before Israeli forces allowed emergency crews to transfer him from there to the Nasser hospital in the city. There it was found out that he was injured by a gunshot to his foot and suffers from a mental disorder.
Raid and death
Israeli forces also raided the eastern towns of Khoza’a and Fokhari, east of Khan Yousef and razed the areas with intermittent gunfire, before retreating inside the security fence.
Furthermore, a Palestinian from the West Bank, stabbed an Israeli soldier and critically injured him inside a passenger bus in the city of Afula, north of Jenin.
Al-Jazeera’s correspondent in Nablus, Atef Douglas, said that the assailant comes from the village of Bir al-Basha, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank and his name is Hussein Sharif Ghawdra, 18.
Douglas reports that Ghawdra attacked an Israeli soldier inside a bus carrying Israeli passengers from Nazareth to Afula inside the Green Line. He stabbed the soldier several times in the neck and other places on his body.
The correspondent explained that the soldier was transferred to an Israeli hospital in Afula and his death was announced one hour later, when first responders failed to save him, adding that the occupation army stormed the village and surrounded the assailant’s house.
For his part, the police chief in northern Israeli Roni Attia said that the policy are detaining the assailant, adding that Ghawdra said that what prompted him to carry out the attack was the imprisonment of some of his family members in Israel” according to Reuters.

President Morsi’s defence team delivers his statement to the Egyptian people this afternoon
President Mohammed Morsi
The defence team of President Dr. Mohammed Morsi held a press conference at 12:00 noon today, chaired by Dr. Mohammed Salim al-Awa, lawyer and former presidential candidate, at the headquarters of the Independence Party (previously known as al-Amal al-Jadid), to release details of their visit to the President and what has been agreed upon. This comes after their visit to the President yesterday at the Burj al-Arab prison.
The delegation included Dr. Mohammed Salim al-Awa, Mohammed al-Damati – from the Lawyers Union – Mohammed Tosson, Osama al-Helu, and Osama Morsi – in his capacity as a lawyer.
The delegation held a statement from the President, directed to the nation and the Egyptian people, which confirmed his steadfastness in his position and his continued resilience.
Mohammed al-Damati confirmed that the issue will not be restricted to the defence of the President, but rather it will file lawsuits against the current regime and remove the lawsuits against Morsi. He confirmed that the President is steadfast and his spirits are very high.

Greece seizes ship carrying weapons to Syria or Libya
The Greek Minister of Maritime Trade announced that he decided to seize a ship flying the Sierra Leone flag and carrying weapons and ammunition that could be headed to Syria or Libya.
The ship was intercepted on Friday in the south-east Aegean Sea.
A Greek press agency quoted Minister Miltiades Varvitsiotis as saying “according to documents and statements of the crew, which couldn’t be corroborated until now, the ship was headed to Mediterranean countries in a state of war.” He added that that United Nations prohibits the delivery of weapons and ammunition to these countries.”
The ship sailed from Uganda and was headed the Iskenderun port in Turkey according to its captain. However, the Greek agency report that the ports of Tartus in Syria and Tripoli in Libya were mentioned as destinations for the ship in documents handed over to the maritime authorities.
The minister added “we are obliged to detain the ship for as long as necessary. We must clarify the status of this suspicious ship and its cargo.”
The Greek Coast Guard found 20,000 AK-47s aboard the “Nour Am” ship, and the minister explained that “all of the cargo trunks had yet to be opened, however the ship was transferring weapons and ammunition.”
After being intercepted close to the Greek island of Symi, the ship was led to Rhodes Island where its Turkish captain and its all seven of its Indian crew disembarked.
The Greek press agency reported that the ship raised suspicion as it had been used in the past to transport drugs.
