نقلت وكالة رويترز للانباء عن مصادر لبنانية وسورية ان القوات السورية ومقاتلين لبنانيين شيعة هاجموا مناطق يسيطر عليها مقاتلو المعارضة السورية على حدود البلدين يوم الأحد 21 ابريل/نيسان

اضافت المصادر ان بلدتين على الأقل كانتا تخضعان لسيطرة مقاتلين من المعارضة السورية في منطقة القصير قرب نهر العاصي سقطتا بعد تصاعد اشتباكات طائفية أواخر الأسبوع الماضي

وقال لبنانيون من منطقة الهرمل ان صواريخ سقطت على بلدة الهرمل، وهي معقل لحزب الله في سهل البقاع اللبناني، يوم السبت 20 ابريل/نيسان، وأن مقاتلا لحزب الله لقى حتفه في قرية زيتا بسوريا

وكان الامين العام لحزب الله اللبناني حسن نصر الله قد اكد ان بعض اللبنانيين المقيمين في الاراضي السورية والمنتمين للحزب يقاتلون “المجموعات المسلحة” بمبادرة منهم للدفاع عن النفس

واشار المرصد لحقوق الانسان الى ان الجيش السوري وميليشيا حكومية وعناصر من حزب الله سيطروا على ثماني قرى سورية قرب الحدود مع لبنان فيما نقلت وكالة رويترز عن نشطاء المعارضة ان القوات الحكومية باتت على بعد ثلاثة كيلومترات من بلدة القصير

ووصف الرئيس الحالي للائتلاف السوري المعارض مشاركة حزب الله في القتال في ريف حمص بانه اعلان حرب على الشعب السوري

وفي ذات السياق حذر الائتلاف السوري المعارض حزب الله من انتهاك الاراضي السورية ودعاه الى سحب قواته من الاراضي السورية “فورا” و”تحكيم صوت العقل ووقف الخروقات والعدوان

وذكر بيان مشترك لقيادة مقاتلي المعارضة في القصير وجبهة النصرة المرتبطة بالقاعدة بثته محطة اورينت الناطقة باسم المعارضة ان ألوية مقاتلي المعارضة ستنقل المعركة الى لبنان اذا استمر الهجوم الذي يدعمه حزب الله

واضاف البيان ان مقاتلي المعارضة سيستخدمون دبابات والصواريخ لضرب مدينة بعلبك اللبنانية التي تقطنها اغلبية شيعية وسيدخلون مقاتلين الى الاراضي اللبنانية لمهاجمة حزب الله هناك

What role does Hezbollah play in Syria?

Hezbollah denies its participation in the fighting.

Reuters quoted Syrian and Lebanese sources reporting that Syrian forces and Lebanese Shi’a fighters attacked areas controlled by Syrian opposition fighters on the border between the two countries Sunday, April 21st.

The sources added that at least two towns in the Qusayr region, close to the Orontes River, were under the control of fighters from the Syrian opposition, but fell after a rising in sectarian clashes at the end of last week.

Lebanese in the Hermel region said that missiles fell on the town of Hermel, a stronghold of Hezbollah in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, on Saturday, April 21st, and that a Hezbollah fighter was killed in the village of Zeta in Syria.

Hassan Nasrallah, secretary general of Hezbollah, confirmed that some Lebanese residences, belonging to Hezbollah were in Syrian territory fighting “armed groups” on their own initiative of self-defence.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights indicated that the Syrian army, government militias and members of Hezbollah took control of eight Syrian villages close to the border with Lebanon. Reuters quoted opposition activists that government forces are now within three kilometres of the the town of Qusayr.

The current president of the Syrian Opposition Coalition described Hezbollah’s participation in the fighting in the Homs countryside as “a declaration of war on the Syrian people.”

In this context, the Syrian Opposition Coalition warned Hezbollah of violating Syrian territory and called the Lebanese party to withdraw its forces from Syrian territory “immediately” and to “listen to the voice of reason and stop the violations and aggression.”

In a joint statement broadcast on the Orient Station by opposition fighters’ leadership in Qusayr and the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front, the spokeswoman for the opposition said that brigades of opposition fighters will take the battle to Lebanon if the Hezbollah-supported attacks continue.

The statement added that opposition fighters will use tanks and missiles to strike the Lebanese city of Balbak, inhabited mainly by Shi’as, and also that fighters will enter Lebanese territory to attack Hezbollah there.
