تظاهرات بمقديشو احتجاجا على اعتقال حسن طاهر أويس قيادى سابق لحركة “الشباب”

تظاهر مئات الصوماليين اليوم فى شوارع العاصمة مقديشو، احتجاجا على اعتقال السلطات الحكومية الشيخ حسن طاهر أويس القيادى السابق بحركة “الشباب المجاهدين” المتمردة، السبت الماضى.

وقال شاهد عيان “إن المتظاهرين توجهوا نحو ساحة ” ترابونا” وسط مقديشو”، موضحا أن أغلبهم شباب ونساء يرددون هتافات مؤيدة لأويس الذى يقبع حاليا فى سجن تابع لجهاز الاستخبارات الصومالى.

وبحسب المصدر نفسه، فإن الشرطة تطلق رصاصات فى الهواء محاولة تفريق المتظاهرين، ولم يعرف حتى الآن الجهة التى نظمت التظاهرة، إلا أن الأنباء ترجح أن قبيلة أويس، هى التى قامت بذلك.

وينحدر أويس من قبيلة هبر جيدر، وهى قبيلة قوية من القبائل القاطنة فى مقديشو، واعتقلت قوات جهاز الأمن الخاص، السبت، القيادى السابق فى حركة الشباب المجاهدين لدى وصوله إلى مطار مقديشو الدولى، وحطت طائرة الشيخ أويس قادمة من ” عادادو”، بوسط الصومال، وهى كبرى مدن منطقة “حيمن وحيب” الذاتية الحكم.

وكان الزعيم الإسلامى لجأ إليها بعد مواجهات الشهر الحالى مع فصيل منافس من حركة “الشباب” فى ميناء مدينة براوى بولاية شبيلى السفلى (جنوب غربى الصومال(.

وبحسب أحد المقربين منه، فقد قبل أويس القدوم إلى مقديشو بعد تطمينات حكومية بعدم التعرض له، والشيخ أويس يعتبر زعيما تاريخيا لحركة شباب المجاهدين، وسبق أن تولى رئاسة مجلس الشورى لاتحاد المحاكم الإسلامية التى سيطرت على معظم مناطق البلاد وضمنها مقديشو فى النصف الثانى من 2006 قبل هزيمتها فى ديسمبر 2006 بأيدى قوات إثيوبية دخلت الصومال.

وبعد أن لجأ إلى اريتريا، تزعم أويس حركة حزب الإسلام التى اندمجت لاحقا فى 2010 مع حركة الشباب التى مثلت الشق الأشد تطرفا فى اتحاد المحاكم الإسلامية.

Demonstrations in Mogadishu protest arrest of Hassan Tuhir Aweys, the previous leader of the al-Shabab movement

Hundreds of Somalis today protested in the streets of the capital against the arrest of the governmental authority Sheikh Hassan Tuhir Aweys, the previous leader of the al-Shabab al-Mujahediin rebel movement, last Saturday.

An eye witness said “that the demonstrators headed towards Taraabuna Square in the center of Mogadishu, describing them as mostly young men and women chanting slogans in support of Aweys who was in prison under the Somali Intelligence Service.

According to the same source, the police fired bullets into the air in an attempt to disperse the demonstration, and they still didn’t know who organized the demonstration, however the information suggests that it could have been Aweys tribe whom had done so.

Aweys descends from the Heber Jedr tribe, a powerful tribe amongst those in Mogadishu, and special security forces arrested, on Saturday, the previous leader of the al-Shabab al-Mujahediin when he arrived at Mogadishu International Airport coming from Aadado in central Somalia, the largest city in the Heeman wa Heeb autonomous region.

The Islamic leader had sought refuge there after clashes this month with a competing faction from the al-Shabab movement in the port city Brauaa in the Lower Shabelle (South West Somalia).

According to a confident of Aweys, he would only return to Mogadishu after government assurances that they would not hurt him. Shiekh Aweys is considered the historical leader of the Al-Shabab al-Mujahediin movement, and previously the head of the Shura Council of the Islamic Courts Union who controlled most of the country and Mogadishu in the second half of 2006 before their defeat in December 2006 at the hands of Ethiopian troops.

After his refuge to Eritrea, Aweys founded the Hezb-Islam movement, which later merged with al-Shabab in 2010, who represented the most extreme part of the Islamic Courts Union.
