‘A message from Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to Egyptians living abroad,’ 15 May 2014

As Egyptian expatriates begin voting in the upcoming presidential election, Field Marshal Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, who is pegged to become Egypt’s next president, published a message to all Egyptians living abroad.

Sisi Message

Translation

“To every Egyptian living abroad, you left your country to seek work and earn a living. This is completely understandable. You left for a good and nobel cause, and you deserve all praise and respect. But now your homeland seeks your help. Egypt is currently living in unprecedented conditions, and asks its citizens abroad, if they do not want to leave their country under such circumstances, and despite the great burden placed upon they shoulders, they must go out and strongly participate in the presidential elections, and cast their ballots, for the candidate of their choice. For the future of Egypt, I wish you luck and God bless you.”

Field Marshal Abdel Fatah al-Sisi

Long live Egypt
