‘Libya to re-open oil fields in the west tonight,’ Al-Hayat (Saudi Arabia), 12 May 2014

Protesters who have shut down pipelines in western Libya since March have announced the end of their blockade on important oil infrastructure, allowing all oilfields, pipelines and ports to be reopened tonight.

قال متحدث باسم المؤسسة الوطنية للنفط في ليبيا إنه “سيعاد فتح حقول النفط وخطوط الأنابيب في غرب البلاد مساء اليوم الاثنين، بعد أن أعلن محتجون إنهاء حصارهم للبنى التحتية المهمة في قطاع النفط

وسيعاد فتح حقول الشرارة والفيل والوفاء وخطوط الأنابيب التي تربطها بميناء الزاوية وخط مليتة الذي ينقل المكثفات

وأعلن محمد الحراري المتحدث باسم مؤسسة النفط عن ان “المحتجون إنهوا الحصار، وسيعاد فتح كل الخطوط الليلة

Libya to re-open oil fields in the west tonight

A spokesperson for the National Oil Corporation (NOC) in Libya said that: “oil fields and pipelines will be reopened in the west of the country tonight, after protesters announced the end of their blockade of important infrastructure in the oil sector.”

The El-Sharara, El-Feel and Wafa oil fields and the pipelines that connect them to the port of Zawiya will be opened, as well the Mellita line which transports condensate.

NOC spokesman Mohammed Al-Harari announced that “the protestors ended the blockade and all pipelines will be reopened tonight.”
