‘Moroccan subjected to gunfire from Algerian army along border,’ Akhbarona (Morocco), 7 May 2014

The fate of a Moroccan citizen in an Algerian hospital is unknown after the Algerian army fired upon the suspected smuggler along the border between the two countries.

مغربي يتعرض لإطلاق النار من طرف الجيش الجزائري على الشريط الحدودي

تعرض مواطن مغربي أعزل لإطلاق النار من طرف عناصر من الجيش الجزائري الاثنين الماضي بالشريط الحدودي المغربي الجزائري، وتحديدا بمنطقة جبل عصفور، ما تسبب له في ضرر جسدي بليغ استدعى نقله على وجه السرعة إلى إحدى المستشفيات الجزائرية، حيث يبقى مصيره مجهولا

وتابعت صحيفة الخبر في عددها الصادر اليم أن المواطن المغربي لقي حتفه في المستشفى، ولم يكن يشكل أي مصدر خطر على الجيش الجزائري حتى يطلق النار باتجاهه بهذه الطريقة البشعة ، فقد كان ينشط في مجال التهريب اليومي على مستوى الحدود بين البلدين

Moroccan subjected to gunfire from Algerian army along border

7 May 2014

An unarmed Moroccan citizen was subjected to gunfire by members of the Algerian army on Monday along the Moroccan-Algerian border, near Jebel Asfour. The citizen suffered bodily harm and was quickly transferred to an Algerian hospital, where his fate remains unknown.

In its issue today, “Al-Khabr” newspaper reported that the Moroccan citizen had died in the hospital, and he did not pose any danger to the Algerian army when they fired in his direction in this ugly manner, hue was active in the smuggling trade across the two countries’ borders.
