The Canadian division of US weapons-maker General Dynamics has won a contract to provide Saudi Arabia with light armoured vehicles, services and training worth up to $13 billion dollars. The deal is expected to generate 3,000 Canadian jobs annually.

ولم تحدد الشركة اسم المشتري ولكن وزير التجارة الكندي إيد فاست أصدر بيانا قال إن المركبات ستباع للسعودية وستوفر وتدعم 3 آلاف وظيفة سنويًّا في كندا

American weapons manufacturing company “General Dynamics” won a contract worth $13 billion for its Canadian department to produce light armoured vehicles for Saudi Arabia.

The company indicated that the 14-year contract will provide military and commercial vehicles, as well as training services and support worth $10 billion, with the possibility of equaling about $13 billion if all options are exercised.

The company did not specify the buyer’s name, but Canadian Minister for International Trade Ed Fast released a statement saying that the vehicles will be sold to Saudi Arabia and will provide 3,000 jobs annually in Canada.
