‘Three bottles explode inside the Al Shohadaa metro station,’ al-Wafd (Egypt), 21 January 2014

Three bottles containing flammable materials exploded in the Al Shohadaa metro station in Cairo this afternoon. The explosion led to increased security presence in the station, but there were no injuries reported.

صرح مصدر أمنى فى شرطة النقل والمواصلات، بأن ثلاث زجاجات تحوى موادًا مشتعلة، انفجرت داخل محطة مترو الشهداء، عصر اليوم الثلاثاء، دون حدوث أى إصابات أو خسائر

وأضاف، أن خبراء المفرقعات يتولون عملية تمشيط المحطة بالكامل وفحصه، وفقا لما ذكرته فضائية الحياة

وتسبب الانفجار فى حالة من الرعب والذعر بين ركاب المترو فى الوقت الذى كثفت فيه قوات الأمن من تواجدها داخل المحطة

Three bottles explode inside the Al Shohadaa metro station

21 January 2014

A security source from the Transportation Police said that three bottles containing flammable materials exploded inside the Al Shohadda metro station this afternoon. The explosion did not cause any injuries or casualties.

The source added that explosives experts are in charge of combing the station and its inspection, according to Al-Hayat.

The explosion caused a state of panic and terror for passengers at a time when security forces are stepping up their presence inside the station.
